MOBILE GENETIC ELEMENTS 2017 MEETING
 
This meeting will focus on the identification, classification, and biology of the many different types of mobile elements that contribute to the variability of prokaryotic genomes. The meeting will prioritise oral presentations by postgraduate students and ECRs.

The one-day meeting was held on the 3rd of February @ The University of Sydney and featured the work of Microbiology Early Career Researchers and PhD students from our local Universities.
 
Featured invited speakers: A/ Prof Ian Grainge, Dr Willa Huston, Prof Ian Paulsen.

GoldSworthy memorial lecture 2016
 
This years lecture was given by A/Prof. Justin Seymour on "Swimming in the Sea: The natural history of marine microbes". Fantastic attendance and great lecture.

Held on the 26th May and with great attendance from undergraduate and postgraduate students from across NSW-ACT, speakers from academia, industry, medical writing, food microbiology and school teaching were heard!
