Careers structure & pathways for scientists in medical pathology laboratories
The Commonwealth Government “Quality Use of Pathology Program” has commissioned consultants, Human Capital Alliance, to undertake the above project for the Department of Health and Ageing. The attached documents outline the project and its consultation process and request for submissions.
Information Paper -The paper defines the workforce boundaries under consideration, explores the key features of how pathology work and the scientific workforce are organised, and seeks feedback on what strategies would assist in promoting the attraction and retention of the various workforce groupings. The information paper can also be accessed at www.health.gov.au/qupp .
There are several options for submitting comments by COB 15 April 2011 in addition to the focus groups being undertaken are:
• Direct to the Commonwealth QUPP secretariat (qupp@health.gov.au)
• via Professional societies; AACB, AIMS, ASM, HANZ etc …
• NCOPP (www.ncopp.org.au) would also be very pleased to receive comments from interested individuals by Thursday 7 April 2011 to assist compilation of its submission to the project.
